@egachanに対して怒る人は、ネットの中で活動する人々を尊重し、そこで生まれるコミュニケーションを大切にする人たちだ。だからこそ、発言主が誰であるかということに気を配り、あるいはコミュニケーションが誤解やデマに汚されないよう、情報のソースに気を配る。しかし@egachanは違う。ネット上にあふれるものは、みなすべて近しい人たちにネタを提供するための素材に過ぎない。素材は人間ではないから気を配る必要がないし、同じネタで周囲が瞬発的に盛り上がりさえすればいいから、身内以外の人がどう怒ろうがどうでもいい。非モテSNS的な、ああいった閉鎖空間が持続されれば後はどうでもいいのだろう。だからこういった下品な企画を立ち上げられる、とも言える。
いくら我々が@egachanを非難しようが、世の中にはネットをネタ資源としか捉えていない人は多く存在し、その人の周囲にはさらに多くの、ネタ供給を心待ちにしている人たちが群がっている。我々は絶対的な少数派であり、彼は多数派の意識に与することで、自らの行動に歪んだ正当性を得ている。今回のような事件は、形を変え場所を替え繰り返されることだろう。
